The PROCON holiday season would not be the same without the annual Ugly Sweater Contest during our Holiday Lunch. We had two identical sweaters for the Jonathans, teddy bear overalls, a custom-printed sweater (that was pretty cool, Al), and then just ugly, ugly, ugly! Thanks to everyone who participated.

With just one week left until Christmas, the holiday lights are shining bright at PROCON HQ every evening thanks to The New England Holiday Light Company. In addition to our annual staff “Deck the Halls” event each November, the New England Holiday Lights team stops by every year to decorate our iconic red archway for the holidays. Fun fact: The co-founder of the company that lights up PROCON each season is Doran Dal Pra, a former PROCON IT team member and the son of PROCON legend Dan Dal Pra, who served as Executive Vice President and retired after 47 years with the company three years ago.

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗢𝗡 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 - 𝟵𝟬 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀: In 2023, PROCON was recognized for its outstanding design-build work on the Joyce Cummings Center at Tufts University in Medford, MA. The 150,000-square-foot, seven-story academic building—designed and constructed by PROCON—features classrooms, seminar rooms, meeting spaces, research laboratories, offices, and a 160-seat auditorium. This project earned PROCON both the national Excellence in Construction® (EIC) Eagle Award and the National Design-Build Award. Presented to 82 of the nation’s top construction projects of 2022, the EIC Awards represent the construction industry’s highest honor, celebrating general and specialty contractors for delivering safe, innovative, and exceptional work across the country.

Our new jobsite trailer is on its way to its next destination! In celebration of our 90th anniversary, our jobsite trailer was redesigned earlier this year as part of an in-house contest with our talented design team. It was later brought to life by Lifesize Wraps. Keep an eye out for our new trailer in Portsmouth, NH!

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗢𝗡 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 - 𝟵𝟬 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀: For more than 12 years, the PROCON team has come together each holiday season to support the YMCA of Downtown Manchester's Holiday Giving program. Community giving is a cornerstone of PROCON’s culture — we believe in paying it forward by sharing our time, talents, and compassion with those in need. This year, our team shopped for gifts for 132 children in the Greater Manchester area, ranging in age from 4 months to 17 years. Special thanks to the PROCON team, Tidemark team and the Coolcore team for contributing this year!

Please join us in congratulating the Hitchiner Manufacturing Co., Inc. team on the opening of their new Shared Services Operations building at their Milford, NH headquarters. Designed and built by PROCON, the 57,000 SF facility completes the company’s Elm Street Campus and marks an exciting next step in their long-term growth strategy. This state-of-the-art building consolidates Hitchiner’s value-added services, previously dispersed across multiple locations. Centralizing these operations streamlines workflows, enhances quality control, and supports the continued expansion of Hitchiner’s aerospace and commercial programs. Congratulations to Hitchiner on this impressive milestone!

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗢𝗡 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 - 𝟵𝟬 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀: In 2014, PROCON completed one of its most significant projects, Portwalk Place, in Portsmouth, NH. Covering a full city block, Portwalk Place is an urban development in historic downtown Portsmouth that provides hotels, restaurants, an event center, office space, apartments, and two underground parking garages.

We are excited to share an update from our Merrimack College jobsite. Check out the time-lapse installation of the tiered stadium seating in one of the classrooms within the new Lecture Hall building. This new lecture hall will significantly expand Merrimack College’s academic space and will feature 700 seats across five lecture halls in a 19,205 SF, two-story facility.

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗢𝗡 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 - 𝟵𝟬 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀: In 2023, PROCON invested in Solar Panels for our Hooksett, NH headquarters. Over the last two years, this upgrade has enabled us to enhance our energy independence and create a positive environmental impact through reduced carbon emissions and a decreased reliance on fossil fuels.

On Friday, the PROCON team gathered for a yummy pizza lunch from Nana’s Kitchen & Pizzeria and to help spread holiday cheer across the office. In less than 60 minutes, the PROCON office was transformed - from beautifully decorated trees to bright lights hung far and wide - there was holiday cheer as far as the eye could see and lots of fun to be had. PROCON's "Deck the Halls" is an annual tradition we look forward to each year, bringing our employees together to celebrate the joy of the holiday season.

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗢𝗡 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 - 𝟵𝟬 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀: In December 2019, PROCON’s Architecture Team was recognized as a winner of the 2019 Argentum Senior Living by Design Award. The 168,000 SF design was featured in the December 2019 issue of Senior Living Executive Magazine. The community was selected from among national submissions for its embodiment of Argentum’s 2019 theme “A Certain Sense of Place.” The community is lodged in the Connecticut countryside adjacent to Wells Hollow Farm between New Haven and Bridgeport. https://bit.ly/3LLWN7T

We're thrilled to share that the PROCON Granite United Way Campaign has wrapped up, raising $114,979 with PROCON's dollar-for-dollar match, totaling over $229,958! Thank you to our incredible team members who donated, attended the week's events, and listened to inspiring presentations from our community partners. Together, our employees have helped to support the Mark Stebbins Community Center, The Leader in Me program, and other local organizations our employees are passionate about, with 95% of every dollar going to the nonprofit. Granite United Way and PROCON have a partnership going back over 70 years, and we are so proud of our team for their continued support. Way to go, team PROCON!

Last week, PROCON welcomed employees and their families to headquarters for an evening of fun. From baby animals to crafts, face painting, balloons, and ice cream, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Every year, PROCON hosts a family-oriented event—whether it’s an open house like this year or another type of outing. As a fourth-generation family business, PROCON understands how important family is and how essential it is to return home to them each day. Events like these bring our employees and their loved ones together, strengthening our workplace community and reminding us to have a little fun along the way.

Today, we recognize the bravery demonstrated by our veterans in keeping our country safe. At PROCON, we honor our veterans by providing them with an additional day off from work as a small token of our appreciation. Today and every day, we are grateful for their strength and sacrifice.

Yesterday marked the kickoff of PROCON’s annual Granite United Way campaign! 🎉 We were honored to welcome speakers from Granite United Way, who shared updates on the Mark Stebbins Community Center and the impact donations can make toward reaching their goals. They also highlighted the results of recent funding initiatives, shared inspiring statistics, and spoke about the power of giving back. PROCON is a proud, long-time supporter of Granite United Way, and we’re excited to dive into fundraising week and continue making a difference together! 💙

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗢𝗡 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 - 𝟵𝟬 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀: In 2016, PROCON completed construction of the Whole Foods Market and 8,000 SF of retail space as part of the Goffe Mill Development in Bedford, NH. Nearly a decade later, this area has evolved into a vibrant shopping hub that plays a vital role in Bedford.

From initial design and rendering to the finished product, working with PROCON means your vision comes to life exactly as promised. This short video showcases the rendering for Arts Alley seamlessly blended with the final completed photo of the building. We’re proud to have collaborated on this special project in Concord, NH, for Duprey Hospitality.

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗢𝗡 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 - 𝟵𝟬 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀: In 2019, PROCON was honored with the Associated Builders & Contractors Excellence Award for Design-Build in recognition of our work on Assembly Row in Somerville, MA. This vibrant urban mixed-use development features a 13-story high-rise encompassing 22,000 square feet of retail space, a 160-room hotel, 122 condominiums, and below-grade parking just outside Boston. Assembly Row stands as PROCON’s largest project to date.
