๐ฃ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ข๐ก ๐๐ถ๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ - ๐ต๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐: In 2006, construction was completed on our Capitol Commons project in Concord, NH. The 102,000 SF mixed-use office building is eight stories tall and features an array of tenants, including a restaurant, retail, and office space, as well as a 10,000 SF theater. As part of the scope, a 177,000 SF municipal parking garage with 510 spaces was also constructed to support the new building and address limited downtown parking. An aerial photo shows Main Street in 2006, twenty years before the iconic Arts Alley building was designed and built by PROCON just across the street from Capitol Commons. A recent photo from the fall of 2025 captures the backside of Arts Alley, where the glass faรงade of Capitol Commons can be seen across the way.
For more than 90 years, PROCON has made a tangible impact on the New Hampshire skyline, and it is exciting to look back on how far we have come!

Last week, the team for our Liberty Lane project hosted their bi-weekly OAC meeting at SNHU, welcoming more than 30 students for a firsthand look at day-to-day life in the construction industry. With the PROCON office located just five minutes from campus, SNHU was the perfect setting to both conduct business and engage the next generation of construction management professionals.
The team walked students through the ins and outs of the Liberty Lane project, providing an update on its current status and sharing insight into PROCONโs unique design-build process. They then transitioned into their regularly scheduled OAC meeting, reviewing project updates and outlining action items for the days ahead.
A special thank you to our friends at Southern New Hampshire University for welcoming us into the classroom and giving us the opportunity to mentor and inspire future industry leaders!

This yearโs PROCON Chili Cookoff featured 10 chefs competing for the coveted titles of โMost Unique Chiliโ and โBest All-Around Chili.โ While many participants return year after year, more than half of this yearโs chefs were first-time entrants, bringing a fresh variety of flavors to the competition. With ten delicious chili entries to sample, the event truly stirred everyoneโs taste buds and made for a fun afternoon on a cold February day.
Congratulations to our two winners: Monica Oum for โBest All-Around Chiliโ and Cameron Reid for โMost Unique Chili.โ

๐ฃ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ข๐ก ๐๐ถ๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ - ๐ต๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐: It's hard to believe that the beautiful headquarters we call home was renovated eight years ago back in 2018. Due to rapid growth, reconfiguring the PROCON office was necessary to expand space for our growing team and renovate outdated areas.
The 26,000 SF expansion included the development of a new lobby, cafeteria, training room, and additional offices to house PROCON's construction operations team. Conceptualized by PROCON's in-house design and engineering team, the renovated building features a modern-industrial aesthetic that highlights PROCON's brand colors of red and grey throughout the exterior and interior.

After an incredible 40 years with PROCON, the legendary Lance Bennett has retired! He began his career at PROCON as a carpenter and rose through the ranks to Co-President, driven by his vast construction knowledge, personalized approach, and his ability to listen with intention. Lanceโs work ethic and pride, both in his projects and in his teams, are truly commendable.
Throughout his tenure, Lance was an integral part of many important projects, including his long-standing work at Gordon College and Merrimack College, as well as major developments such as Assembly Row, Tufts Universityโs Joyce Cummings Center, and the legendary Portwalk Place and redevelopment of downtown Portsmouth.
We wish Lance a happy and healthy retirement. Thank you for all you have done for PROCON and for the teams who were proud to stand beside you over the years.

Collaboration is one of our core values at PROCON, so we were excited to host Plan NH last night for a great networking event at our headquarters. Just last year, our VP of Business Development, Preston Hunter, joined Plan NH, and being involved in community events like this helps us live out our commitment to collaborate while ensuring our projects reflect and serve the needs of the communities we work in.

๐ฃ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ข๐ก ๐๐ถ๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ - ๐ต๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐: In the summer of 1992, the then "Pro Con" team, was tasked with the impossible: renovate the St. Paul's School's Upper House dorm over the summer and have it move-in ready for students in the fall. The job was considerable and included completely gutting and renovating the 5-story, 40,000 SF building while preserving its history and integrity within the campus. A project of this scope would normally take 8-10 months and the goal was to accomplish it within a 10-week timeline while the students were on summer break. In 1992, this was an unheard-of timeline. The team, which included PROCON Legend's Lance Bennett and Dave Raiche, rallied 7-day work-weeks to accomplish the project on the aggressive timeline.
The project did not come easily; they often ran into roadblocks that stunted their progress and forced them to work long days and nights. Nonetheless, the team pulled it off: a true miracle. On move-in day, the St. Paul's Upper House was renovated and ready for new students who had no idea that, just days before, their building had been a construction site. To this day, those still on the PROCON team who were involved in the "10 Week Miracle" project speak about how it was unheard of for the time and how it pushed them all to be better and aim higher. It's history like this that helped shape our team into the future mentors and teachers of the next generation of PROCON.

Voted on by the community, this recognition speaks to our commitment to excellence, always doing the right thing, and making building easier. From intimate seminar rooms to state-of-the-art lecture halls, education is never one-size-fits-allโand neither are the spaces that support it. Whether itโs flexible classrooms that encourage collaboration, technology-forward lecture spaces, or specialized environments such as simulation and finance-based learning labs, our work is rooted in supporting a wide range of educational needs and teaching styles. With a growing footprint across New England and notable clients such as Merrimack College, Dartmouth, Tufts University, and Gordon College, our team is motivated by projects that challenge us to think outside the box and develop unique, modern solutions that stand the test of time.

In 1998, PROCON completed the Barrington Center for the Arts at Gordon College in Wenham, MA, transforming a 19,000 SF existing gymnasium into a vibrant arts center and adding a 10,000 SF mezzanine. The project included new mechanical and electrical systems and featured offices, studios, classrooms, a library, a photographic darkroom, an art gallery, a lecture hall with tiered seating, and a black box studio theater complete with dressing rooms and a box office. Specialized spaces included stone and clay studios, wood and printmaking shops, and fully equipped theater workshops.

After 35 years with PROCON, Senior Superintendent Bob Beauchemin has retired! From Arts Alley and Unitilโs corporate headquarters to countless hotels and long-standing work at Merrimack College, including his final project, an exciting new lecture hall, Bob has made a lasting impact on PROCONโs work throughout the years.
Bob is known for being a meticulous superintendent, with attention to detail and innovative problem-solving abilities second to none. He is known to create his own tools to complete difficult tasks in the field when nothing else worked. Throughout his career, Bob has also been a mentor to many up-and-coming PROCON team members, teaching them how to do things the right way and always with the right tools.
To celebrate his retirement, Bobโs team took him out to lunch at the Puritan Backroom where they shared stories and memories and celebrated whatโs next for him.
Whatever comes next, we are certain it will include camouflage and plenty of time enjoying the outdoors. Please join us in wishing Bob a very happy retirement and congratulations on an outstanding career!

It is with immense gratitude that we share the recent retirement of PROCON Co-President, James Loft. After 29 years of dedicated service, Jim leaves a lasting legacy on our company and the many incredible projects he helped bring to life throughout his tenure. His impact can be seen in landmark developments such as Assembly Row, Tufts Universityโs Joyce Cummings Center, Tuscan Village, Portwalk Place, Arts Alley, and many, many more.
In addition to his many successful projects, Jim had an incredible impact on shaping the PROCON design and engineering team into what it is today. Many of the staff members he hired over the last 29 years remain on the PROCON team today and were present to speak at his retirement party. To Jim's surprise, his entire team stole the show at the party when they walked in as "Jim impersonators," all adorned with his signature white curly hair.
Whether Jim is surfing, playing guitar, or spending time with his family, we know this next chapter will serve him well. Thank you, Jim, for 29 years of outstanding service to PROCON, and we wish you all the best in your well-deserved retirement!
