PROCON Named Among NH Best Companies to work for 2018
September 30, 2018
Manchester, NH – PROCON of Manchester, NH was named as one of the “Best Companies to Work For” in the September, 2018 issue of Business NH Magazine. This was the second consecutive year that the design-build firm was recognized as one of the Granite State’s best companies.
Established in 1935, the privately-owned, 4th generation company with an in-house architectural, engineering and construction management team, has a vast portfolio of commercial projects throughout the Northeast. But it is the company’s in-house family-styled culture that sets it apart, and it starts at the top with friendly CEO and Chairman Mark Stebbins, who knows every employee by name. Stebbins, his management and human resources team work hard to express employee appreciation, encourage an open door policy with management, listen to good ideas from their suggestions box, and promote the value of supporting their local community.
The company shares profits with its employees through random extra paychecks, and other perks include personalized employee thank-you gifts, annual bonuses, catered holiday lunches, ice cream socials, the annual Labor Day Breakfast with executives serving employees, a kudos wall for co-workers to thank each other, and national retailer discounts. Families can get in on the fun with special days where spouses, children and even grandchildren are welcomed at PROCON events such as 5K races, rock-climbing, golfing and other family-styled activities.
“Those of us who are fortunate enough to walk the halls of PROCON and our job sites everyday truly understand our culture of collaboration, innovation and family. Winning an award like this brings a sense of pride to us all. It also helps potential candidates realize that the content they see on our website, social media and in the press is true” stated Annette Carroll, the Company’s Director of Talent Acquisition.
For more than two decades Business NH Magazine has held the annual competition showcasing the best employers in the state and how they creatively attract and retain talent. To be eligible as a “Best Companies” winner, employers complete an extensive application process followed by an anonymous employee engagement survey that must be completed by at least 50% of their workforce.
“At the end of the day – the PROCON employees are our lifeblood because they live, breathe and foster our culture, and it is their hard work that makes the success of this company possible” explained Carroll.
